Using the film The River Ran Red, panelists explore how nature is a tool for death during the Armenian Genocide. The film itself provides graphic illustration of the role played by the Euphrates in the process of deportation and killing and throughout shows the locations where the killings took place. The panelists add to the discussion presented by Professor Ungor on the interrelationship between land and population in a genocidal process and how important it is to look at the geography of deportations and mass killing.
